How can I find a surrogate mother in the UK?

I have 3 perfect children and would love to help anyone who unfortunately is unable to carry there own. I’m 30yr old and healthy and could not alone life without my little babies.

Hi We live in north Yorkshire. I’ve been reading heartbreaking posts most of tonight. Obviously we could only help one couple have a baby. But this is something I will happily do provided you are in a stable relationship. Happy fun loving and desperately want what I was lucky enough to be blessed with. enjoy every single second of every day (like we do) that what they have is most precious. If you are happy to do this then we should talk.
We are financially secure with our own home 3 cars and a cat.
I am 44 do not let this fool you. I have a super 21 year old and a beautiful angel who is 2. Easy pregnancies both times with no medical problems at all. Hello, I’m not sure how this forum works but I’ll tell you a little bit about me. Me and my partner are looking for a traditional surrogate mother ( using their eggs and my partners sperm.) We have a little boy that is almost 5 and have been trying to conceive a little brother or sister for 3 years. I have unexplained infertility and damage to the lining of my uterus which means ivf isn’t a viable solution for us. We love in the north east of England. The biggest risk is the financial gamble they would play with you wondering if your reproductive abilities were any better than theirs. You MUST go through the proper legal channels in your state/country or you do not have your own child, you are simply raising someone else’s legal child.

Please people. This is not a car we are dealing with, this is a baby. YOUR BABY. Don’t risk your family because you’re looking to save a few bucks avoiding a lawyer and THE LAWS OF YOUR COUNTRY.

Hello, we would be grateful for any help anyone could provide for us, myself and my fiancée have been trying to find a surrogate for a few years now but have come up blank. All the sites we have tried and people we have spoken to have all pretty much said to go abroad, unfortunately we cant afford to travel back and forth from the uk in the hopes of fathering a child and are still very interested in finding a lady to help us in the uk. If anyone who has been through the process and has been successful in having a child could help we would be very grateful, thank you Jay and Matt.

I am in the uk. I have 4 children so I am finished having my own children. I would love to be a surrogate. My cousin had cancer + had eggs frozen and if she had lived I would have helped her have a child from the goodness of my heart but frankly if it is a stranger I want some payment for the use of my body. A builder or fitness instructor uses their body and receives payment. The only difference I see is that pregnancy is a greater risk and takes more toll on the body and yet they expect the women here to rent out their womb for free. Maybe I am too blunt. I had my gorgeous son just over 4 and a half year ago and when he was 6 month old I met my new partner and we started trying for a baby of our own, I conceived 2 times but lost both, I have had numerous appointments with doctors and gynea and have had operations and was told my hormone levels are too high and at the time of a period my hormones are so high that I just lose the baby and the doctors said I have to pay for ivf or any kind of treatment, I just cant afford those prices but its fair to say I am desperate for a baby as is my Fiance, he loves my son like his own but would really love another child and my son would love a brother or sister.
We have a lovely stable home for a baby and alot of love to give with a great family network, though they are all having babies around me and its heart breaking that I can’t have one of my own, I know I am lucky to have a son already, but it can’t take away the aching and heart break for another child. We are a happily married, ordinary couple in Scotland who cannot have children due to me having an ovarian tumour removed at a young age, necessitating the removal of my uterus also.

We are professional couple from the UK who have been trying desperately for a baby, having 6 miscarriages. I can’t explain to you how hard it is, I struggle to go shopping without bursting into tears if I see a baby or a pregnant woman. Its so difficult knowing the love we can give a baby and not being able to have one, or getting our hopes up when we have a positive pregnancy test only for it to all be torn away. We are now looking at surrogacy.

I cannot imagine not having a baby, and the longer this pain is going on the more difficult it is becoming. I would really appreciate any help.

4 years ago, we began trying for a baby. I fell pregnant straight away. By 6 weeks I lost the pregnancy. We waited 4 months to try again, pregnant straight away but by 5 weeks lost. The other 4 miscarriages have happen over the last year. We have been for all the blood tests – no cause. But when I went for a laparoscopy to investigate, my ovaries were attached to my uterus, fallopian tubes twisted and I had endometrial cysts. Its very hard to describe how this is effecting us. I thought at first it may cause our marriage to break down, but it has actually made us stronger. Its devastating though. I can’t function properly – TV programmes which feature babies make me cry, if I go to the shopping centre I leave virtually in tears after seeing prams, pregnant women or baby clothes, even my friends who are pregnant or had babies I struggle to talk about it with them. At times I feel pathetic and think pull yourself together women, but the thought of not being able to have a child devastates us. We have so much love to give and a baby would want for nothing. We would welcome any support. As we feel that we are incomplete.

Occasionally, I receive hate mail from users who are upset that I have edited or deleted their email addresses or phone numbers from this page, despite the fact that I provide a free classified ads board on this website.

Well, I do it to protect, as best as I am able, the surrogacy community. You see, when someone places and ad on the classified’s board, I am able to verify a little bit of their information, such as whether the country they are in is the country they say they are in, instead of one known for scheming parents (or surrogate) out of money. And if I feel that something isn’t right, I simply delete the ad.

Case in point, I just ran an email address through google from a “surrogate” who posted on this page. The email address had dozens and dozens of hits, in many languages, stating in some that the user was a female looking to be a surrogate, and others that the user was a male looking to sell a kidney. Now, I’m not going to stand here and say that this particular person was a scammer, but it did seem that this person did not understand that in surrogacy one does not sell one’s body, which is enough reason for me to not allow the email address to stand.

Please, please, please, potential surrogates and intended parents alike, do your research! If you feel uncomfortable about a person, don’t contact them! Do a quick google search to see what comes back, and if you have any problems, take a moment to let me know.

Many, many Nigeria scammers have chosen to claim they are from the UK, which makes those looking to start a surrogacy in the UK particularly vulnerable. Also, many have established legitimate looking facebook pages.

I know so many of you want to be involved in surrogacy, but it is so important that you choose safety first! This is your baby we are talking about!

**What is a Nigeria scammer? It is someone who traditionally is from Nigeria or a bordering country with lax laws who steals a whole lot of money from you, and gives you nothing in return but much heartache. They usually want you to pay to adopt a child, or pay to fly them out to meet you, saying they are working on a mission project in Africa and are actually American or British. Many well meaning intended parents get taken advantage of on a regular basis.

We were in exactly the same situation as you last december, Searching the internet for surrogate mothers, and feeling like we had so many questions BUT no answers.
We had women posing as surrogates who’s only intention was to get as much money out of us as possible in exchange for a baby…. This was not the way we wanted things! We wanted to be able to trust a surrogate and build a good friendship.

So sorry that a post pregnancy hysterectomy has been done to you. It can be very hard to work though the emotions, and even more upsetting when you have not completed your family.

There is help for ALL couples in the UK and many surrogates are more than happy to help same sex couples for various reasons.

If you look down the page for *a little wish*s details and have a read of the information you will see there is help and support in the UK.

Many ALL couples have found help and support with *a little wish*, there is no discrimination.

The laws have partly changed to assist unmarried and same sex couples, and other information is being gathered that will effect you, if you contact them you can be involved 🙂

I am not sure where you are finding your information, and to say that surrogacy is not legal in a country, it would be useful to enclose a referance.

Surrogacy has been legal in the UK for MANY years and it continues to be so. There have been changes in the law and it is now EASIER for some to be able to undertake surrogacy.

Some agencies wanted “much” more than others but we ended up going with surrogacy and an on-line agency-that helped us (www.surrogatemothersolutions.com) and of course the costs were more but thanks to their help and the help wonderful Dr’s at our clinic, HRC who is wonderful to work with! we now have a baby who shares our own biological genes and was born on September 20th 2009.
When we were trying to decide between surrogacy and adoption we came here for advice and will never forget all the suppport we received and of course your recomendations on where to start our journey. We are now in the process of taking our perfect little baby home with us and want others to know that becoming a parent is possible dispite infertility issues. Don’t give up!!

We ended up going to the U.S to pursue our dreams of having a baby. It was not as hard as we thought it would be. Our little miracle was born 2 months and 3 days ago. We used an agency out of Pennsylvania called Surrogate Mother Solutions and they were ammazing! I would give them a call they do not charge as much as most US agencies. I know they are online but I do not know their web page right off. I wish you the best of luck!

Hi, im Rachel stirling, i have children to my ex husbands, but was forced into Sterilisation by my second hubby, ive tried to get it reversed but me and my partner cannot afford the £2500 necessary to pay for the treatment, our funds are very very vey tight, i need a surrogate mum who isnt in it for the money, who is willing to go by the artificial insemination route using her own eggs.
Technically it would be her biological baby, which is a problem, id need someone who is strong minded enough not to agree to this and then back out of it last minute or agree to this then keep the baby for themselves, i Really want to be able to give my new partner a baby, physically and financially i cant unless by miricle someone on here answers my prayers.

There are a few organisations in the UK, but aren’t called agencies. Stay well clear of any organisation that calls itself an agency as this is misleading. It is currently illegal to “match” surrogates with couples, and if a company is saying it can do this then it is acting outside the boundaries of the law within the UK.

There are two main organisations within the UK that provide information, and the chance to meet a surrogate. These are COTS and Surrogacy UK – just google them and you can find their information, both of which support same sex couples entering into a surrogacy arrangement.

My pregnancy was normal, had a normal delivery, baby healthy and new mother very happy 🙂

All the way through my pregnancy I was very much focused on my child, I was singing to him and talking to him, and I was trying to laugh as much as I could because I knew that if I am in a good moode, baby can feel it and makes him happy! If I had someone’s baby under my heart, I would do exatly the same! I am a very emotional person, and I think it would be difficult for me to see the baby go, but it would also make me very happy because I know that this baby will be much wanted and loved! I know what its like to be a mother and how much one can long for a child!

Me and my partner have been together for seven years and married for three years.
